For my Squeak kitty - - I couldn’t have asked for a better feline companion than you. You were there for me in darkest of times and free with your purrs and nudges. You seemed to know when I needed to hold you and let me often. You have out lived Charley and Tahoe and knew them both well. You put up with puppy Charley’s playful attacks and suffered to be herded around by Tahoe. I know they greet you in heaven and are happy to see a familiar furface, even though it's feline :-) I miss your squeaky meow and soft fur though I have plenty of reminders because I am still finding it everywhere. I cherish our memories and the love you gave me. I am forever thankful to have been owned by you.

Love, Nancy

"If it be I grow frail and weak,
And pain should wake me from my sleep,
Then you must do, what must be done -
For this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let grief then stay your hand.
For this day; more than all the rest,
Your love and friendship will stand the test.

We've had some happy years,
What is to come, holds no fears,
You'll not want me to suffer, so
When the time comes, please let me go.

I know in time you too will see,
It is a kindness you do for me,
Although my tail, its last, has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Do not grieve that it should be you
Who has to decide this thing to do
We've been so close, we two, these years,
Please, don't let your heart hold any tears."
