Rita and
Wolf: Wolf is a German Shepherd born on 3/26/97. He was a puppy from my
sisters dog, so I was able to be there when he was born. Wolf acts more like a pup
than the 4 year old he will soon be. He enjoys howling with a guitar, playing
outside with his half brother Owaci, and sleeping on "HIS" bed.
On October 5, 1999 Wolf had his first seizure. On March 10, 2001 Wolf topped his
scale with 17 in one day. We are working with a new vet and hope to get these seizures
under control. Wolf will most likely start
Potassium Bromide in the near future. We hope this will help control the clusters.
He's had some behavioral changes since starting the Phenobarbital but we hope that can be
fixed once we find out how his thyroid is doing. He is my baby and I love him more
and more each day. He has a face you can't help but love.
Medicine and Food: 194.4 mg of Phenobarbital twice a day. Melatonin, Rescue
Remedy, and Ice Cream for his clusters. We are slowly switching his food around. We
are starting him on Eukanuba Adult Maintenance with cooked meat and veggies. Wolf's
favorite treats WERE powdered donuts, granola bars and BBQ corn chips but
he is learning to live with carrots.
